Welcome to St.
Ninian's Craigmailen Church Linlithgow

The choir meets on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm in the Shields Room of the Longcroft Halls. Anyone who likes to sing would be made most welcome. For further information contact the choirmaster Bob Sloan (tel: 842795).
The choir’s main task is to lead the singing during weekly church services. The primary activity in the Thursday practice sessions is to ensure the choir is properly familiarised with hymns whether sung in parts or in unison. Additional activities include preparing anthems to be sung during services, the most recent of which was “Thou Visitest the Earth”, an Eighteenth Century piece by Maurice Greene, which was sung during the Harvest Thanksgiving service. Further anthems are will be sung or are planned before Christmas and these include Lead me Lord by Wesley, Kyrie eleison by Jenkins and Lord, for thy tender mercy’s sake by Farrant.
An important involvement for the Choir is with the Scottish National Institution for the War Blinded at Linburn. The Choir is honoured to be invited to participate and perform in their Remembrance day Service on November 9th.
Also, practice of carols will begin shortly in preparation for the Christmas services. Anyone who would like to sing with the choir over the Christmas period will be most welcome, even if a longer term commitment is not possible.
