The Choir

The Choir leads praise during Church services and provides a variety of anthems throughout the year. Practices are held on a Thursday evening from 7.45p.m. until 9 p.m. and before the service on a Sunday morning from 10a.m. until 10.30a.m.. New voices are always welcome, even if it is only possible to make one of the weekly practices. Contact Martin Burns or our organist Gillian Mole for more information.

Recent anthems have included works by Bach, James McMillan, Arthus Hutchings and part of "Olivet to Calvary" by J. H. Maunder. Future pieces include one by John Rutter and "If ye love me" by Tallis, which was sung at the recent Royal Wedding.

Rehearsals have now finished for the summer but will start again in late August.

The choir will be singing an anthem on Sunday, 17th for the Kirking of the Deacons service.
